About the event
Dr. Patel is an Associate Professor at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center where she is the Director of the Gastrointestinal Hereditary Cancer Program. She is the President of the Collaborative Group of the Americas on Inherited Gastrointestinal Cancers, a premiere professional society dedicated to advancing research and clinical care for patients with hereditary GI cancer syndromes. She is also a member of the United States Multi-Society Task Force on Colorectal Cancer, which represents the American College of Gastroenterology, the American Gastroenterological Association and the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and recently led the updated colorectal cancer screening guidelines from the MSTF.
