CGA-IGC offers travel grants for early career genetic counselors!

Updated: Apr 15, 2024

CGA-IGC for the first time has offered travel grants specifically to early-career or trainee genetic counselors.

The CGA-IGC Genetic Counselor Travel Grants aim to promote the professional development of early-career genetic counselor investigators in the field of hereditary gastrointestinal cancers. These will be two awards of $1,000 to defray costs associated with in-person attendance at the CGA-IGC Annual Meeting.

The inaugural awardees, Catherine Smith, MS, and Yvonne Cardona, MS, LCGC, were recognized yesterday during the 2023 CGA-IGC Award Ceremony in Las Vegas, NV, just before the start of the 2023 CGA-IGC Annual Meeting.
